SFO International Terminal
My friend flew over from Ohio has arriving on a Saturday evening. I spend extra 3 hours in the newly build international terminlal of the San Francisco Airport. This supposed to be the largest international terminal in the US, offering wide ranges of services including top-class restaurtants, souvenior shops, museum, art galleries, etc. The people who designed the terminal want it to be a popular spot for weekend get-aways.

(Left) Inside the terminal was rather dark and cool. One large room is filled with check-in counters. The whole structure is supported by numbers of column. Quite nice. There were only a few people when I visited the place.

(Right) Looking down the people deperating to Asia. Each deperature lounge has its own unique art on the wall. Some of them are painting, others are objects of music instruments.

After all, what I liked the most were the people in the airport. Some of them looked very busy, others were bored to death by waiting for airplanes.

(Left) The lady officer walking down the gate in a hurry. She did not pay any attention to the art on the wall of a deperature lounge.

(Right) A passenger walked across a dark round waiting lounge. If I could take a few seconds earlier, the shadow of the person would be more clear against the bright shop.

I used to love to visit airport when I was a small kid. My grandpa used to take me to the then-Tokyo-international airport, Haneda, every weekend. This time, I found SFO international airport to be quite boring.
