Parks And Open Spaces In SF Bay Area |
||
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District
|
This is my favorite weekend destination which is only 30 minutes drive away from most of the bay area cities. The organization provides a very good web site at http://www.openspace.org. From the site; "The preserves provide the Bay Area community with protected wildlife habitats, natural resources, watershed areas, scenic backdrops, and a variety of ecosystems." The open spaces offer variety of terrain, vegetation, and trails. The open space I page includes Purisima Creek Redwoods, Russian Ridge, Los Trancos Open Space Preserves. The open space II page includes Windy Hill, Monte Bello, Long Ridge and Rancho San Antoni Open Space Preserves, as well as the Hidden Villa Non-profit Organic Farm. |

Public Parks and Other Open Spaces |
The public parks and other open spaces page includes Shoreline park, San Andreas and Crystal Spring reservoirs, and The Dish. I do not know what these parks and spaces really are, but they are great place for weekend get-a-ways. |
